NOT MY FAULT

I grew in a family where we really don’t care about one another. Nobody cares where you slept, who you sleeping with, when you are sick or what grades you got in school. Don’t disturb for food and don’t accumulate bills believing someone cares. I started living this life since I was fifteen but the expressions we create to the whole world was all is well with our family. My brothers and sister are alien to the realities that I live in. the truth is I built my trust in friends who catered for me once in a while. For every penny I had from the age sixteen I worked for it. I was never a prostitute but men who enjoyed the night with me ends up with loads of appreciation. To some people I was wrong but to me, there was nothing wrong in what I was doing.
Two pastors have been convincing enough, lecturers were a normalcy (that saw me through  my academics), gym classes paid phone bills, bouncers and dj’s were for the fun of it, uncles and daddies catered my house rent and boyfriends built up my account. I was just existing. I had no plans for the future and no family.

Age is as constant as change thus I was growing older. One night I heard someone call my name in my sleep … Kate Kate Kate. Get a life and stop this. I sprang up from my bed and surprisingly my phone was ringing. I ended up not knowing who was talking. I reached for my phone to check who was calling me and I saw it was Clara. What on earth who she be calling me for at this time. I struggled to pick but the call was lost. I put the phone down and increased the fan to accommodate no sweat when the phone rang again. I picked and the noise from the background made it impossible for me to hear what she had to say. With a faint voice I got the glimpse and the tone strongly told me “he asked me to marry him” and I asked her what her response was. She answered I said “YES”. For the first time I was touched about something happening to someone in my family. My younger sister just got proposed to. I am happy for her but on one side of the coin I felt it should have been me. In ten minutes the pictures have circulated the whole social media. From Facebook to Instagram, BBM to WHATSAPP, people started telling me congrats like I was part of it. I tried to see his face but the pictures were dark. The face of the guy looks familiar but I wasn’t sure he is not one of my former payees. I really didn’t care much thus sleep was the next thing on my mind.

The next morning I had calls from my dad and my mum. They had called to tell me if I have heard my sister was getting married. They were happier than expected. I was surprised as they showed some level of care. It was when my mum said “and I heard his father is the governor of CBN” that I knew the cause of their joy. The marriage is an avenue to make money. If the information is true then I really knew the face.  Either George or Solomon. How on earth did she catch that big meat? They are coming to see us next week Friday my mum said. I didn’t know if that was an invitation but I know I will be present.

I called my friends and told them the good news. They were all surprised as me. I gathered all the information about the guy in two days and Helen was once a sex maid to George. She wasn’t even ashamed as she was narrating her experience with him. The whole salon stood still to listen to her sexcapades. I wondered in my thought and something inside of me made me think I needed him more than my sister.

I went with two friends a day before their proposed visit to help with the arrangement of the house and sincerely nothing as changed. I asked dad if he will not at least repaint the house and he said……. My daughter, it is good your in-laws meet you the way you are. Don’t reduce the amount of help they will have rendered by painting. I didn’t accept that thus I called a painter and I gave a face lift to the house. We were expecting twelve people but I insisted we cooked for twenty. Clara was the happiest person in the world. Her fiancĂ©e had given her two hundred thousand naira for preparation and stupidly she had told our father. That one collected ten percent for his drink and I was also given fifty thousand for the food. I easily did that with my friends. We were set for them by 11am but they didn’t come till 1pm. The convoy made a reference to our area. The whole street knew a dignitary was about to be welcomed. The governor came down with his elegant wife and they respectfully was about prostrating and kneeling for my dad and mum. They pulled them up and escorted them into our sitting room.

Their perfumes killed the smell of the air freshener in the sitting room and in couple of minutes we were serving them food. I wore a long gown and a little slit and I was fortunate to be the one that served the twins. George and Solomon really looked alike. Until I sat down I never knew they were staring at me. The other two guys that came with them looked hungry.
The date for the traditional and white wedding was fixed and our family promised to send them the list of things required before the end of the month. We were escorting them and familiarizing when a note was slipped into my hands. It was a phone number with no name. It was dropped by one of the hungry friends but I suspected it wasn’t his number. I waited to get back to my house before I placed the call and surprisingly it was ………………..

FOUR OPTIONS PART 4

NOSA

It was a Tuesday service at one the most sophisticated churches in town. The ambience was ecstatically heavenly. From the entrance of the church beauty took away your sorrows. The ushers were like the girls in zenith bank MAITAMA branch. Very fair and friendly but don’t dare go there to open a 200000 naira account. They welcomed me with pamphlets and magazines. I thought it was for sale like my local church does but they said it was free. I followed as envelopes were given to us. I sat between two girls that looked more refined than me. Their cadence is not of this world. Their accent is a combination of different origins. At a time I thought they were speaking their dialects.

The preacher continued ….. turn to your neighbour and tell them three beautiful things about them. The lady on my left (NOSA) turned and looked at me and said. I love your attire, I love your shoes and I guess I’m following you to your house…. Nice perfume. I smiled and told her; I could get you the feminine sort of the same. I told her three things also and thus we became friends throughout the service. She always look at me in anticipation of the perfume I guess. I tried to concentrate but the distraction beside me became the new focus. She captured my heart and entirety. The pastor’s message wasn’t in concordance with what I was thinking. He was preaching against fornication and adultery and perkily every girl in the church were jumping up as if they were not culprits to the same course. I kept the smile simple in anticipation of the stroll to my house.

When service was ended she sat back to pray thus I prayed also. I waited for her to be through and in a while I stood up also. We both bought tapes after the service and amazingly she walked to my car and demanded to sit in front. I was so gentlemanly with the flinging of the door open. I settled her in and increased the air conditioner to the highest for her comfort. I drove to an ice cream bar for a refreshing before getting home. When she stepped into my house she eulogized me a little with the neatness and detailed arrangement. She inspected the house as if she was an agent about to get a new tenant.

So tell me, how many girls do you bring to this house. I swore by everything I had ……. No girl. I promised heaven on earth and in a couple of hours I got into the relationship that was going to tie me for a very long time. Nosa wasn’t that romantic like Joan and giving. Not as prolonged in sex like Ene or adores sex like Ema. She has dominating spirit. She takes over your existence. She could just tell you lets go see your parents and before you know it….. You are on your way. She knew the pin to all my ATM. I started dodging the other girls and one after the other she found out about them. She called them one after the other to warn them to stay clear of her boyfriend. I lost all control till I reported to a friend called UYI. He told me Benin ladies are bossy. I gradually pulled away from her. She still comes around a little but I’m just tired.

Now I moved closer to Jennifer and asked her… now that you know a little about the history of the four ladies I have dated in the last two years and how I can’t compare anyone to you. You have what all of them lacked and in all sincerity I wish you could just be the only one I can say the truth to. I want to spend time with you and you alone. If you will permit me a lifetime. But let’s start with this. When she heard these words she believed immediately and the kiss began with a deep pull towards herself. I slipped her hands through my short to feel the hardness within and swiftly she pulled my short for activities to begin. I stopped her and looked straight into her eyes and said. Jenny no no no wait…… I’m not in a hurry with you. I want you for a lifetime. Thus there is enough time. Those words confirmed my being genuine and she started crying. At this point I looked through the window and saw Tony starting at me. We just won a jackpot……

FOUR OPTIONS 3

ENE

Markurdi is a happy place with happy people. Their hospitality is extreme. Just a three hour journey from Abuja, it seems we crossed seven seas to felicitate with their children on their wedding. Everything we needed was given even things we assumed were given. It was going to be a long night as we sat at the pool side of our hotel sipping some alcohol. It was a combination of foreigners in a land that didn’t belong to us. Four of the ladies on the bridal train with the six active men were there. Some other ladies came but then I was almost gone. I got connected to Ene because we had some things in common. She is disciplined in political science also. Thus we started sharing our knowledge in our fields. We spoke from Aristotle to ENGLES. Immanuel Kant to Herbert spencer. Karl Marx was the crowning discussion before the weather changed. We all rushed from the rain and one after the other we settled for our different rooms.

Ene came with me to my room while we held one of the bottles of Jack Daniels we were drinking as if we were going to continue. The key to the door was forgotten at the pool side thus we spent the next ten minutes at the door for the receptionists to help with another key. At last we were inside the room tired from the dance and procession of the day. It was time for us to settle. I and Ene continued the gist like it wasn’t going to end. I started seeing the beauty in her as the Jack Daniels was going down. I tried to stay awake but something was dragging my eyelids close to themselves. I wasn’t very intoxicated as exhausted. I wasn’t making so much sense any longer ……… it was at this moment I discovered someone was pulling my trouser for me. I didn’t know what it was but whatever I was too tired. Slowly my boxers was vanished. She pulled me up with all her energy and said baby lets shower. From this moment till the next morning I was ridden like a rodeo.

The ladies from Benue are so good, they know all the sensitive parts of a man’s body. They activate like a Chinese man perfect in acupuncture. For every spillage I create, they touch the sensitive parts again for a rise. My body reacted to every touch and instead of Ene giving the soundtrack, I was in charge of that. All she wanted was something inside of her. It was past 4 am and all energy had gone. She called room service and asked for red bull. When she ended the call I asked what that was for and she said for me to stay awake. I declined the offer and begged for a sleep and her response was baby please 30 more minutes just for me to come.

I woke up late the next morning feeling like a dead rat. All life was lost. She was awake also and she slipped her hand to my thighs again for another ride. I jumped off the bed and asked what she was doing. She stood up and came close. She touched one of those parts again and before you knew it I was inside the congo again.

In two weeks she was in Abuja for a visit and that was another wasted weekend. No one calms me down like Ene. She is also a great planner with a foresight I respect. She is industrious and loves cooking. We are not always together and she understands she isn’t the preferred but something keeps her close to my heart. There are two things about her I don’t understand.
·         She loves prolonged sex with the word harder
·         She loves alcohol also

It was now becoming a problem for me to get focused. I had five different ideas and I can’t just actualize any of them. My finance was reducing without any concentration. The starting was always good but the finishing was very poor. I needed to visit a church. It was during one of the services in church that I met this wonderful lady from BENIN CITY called ………..
