FOUR OPTIONS PART 4

NOSA It was a Tuesday service at one the most sophisticated churches in town. The ambience was ecstatically heavenly. From the entrance of the church beauty took away your sorrows. The ushers were like the girls in zenith bank MAITAMA branch. Very fair and friendly but don’t dare go there to open a 200000 naira account. They welcomed me with pamphlets and magazines. I thought it was for sale like my local church does but they said it was free. I followed as envelopes were given to us. I sat between two girls that looked more refined than me. Their cadence is not of this world. Their accent is a combination of different origins. At a time I thought they were speaking their dialects.  The preacher continued ….. turn to your neighbour and tell them three beautiful things about them. The lady on my left (NOSA) turned and looked at me and said. I love your attire, I love your shoes and I guess I’m following you to your house…. Nice perfume. I smiled and told her; I could ...

ENE Markurdi is a happy place with happy people. Their hospitality is extreme. Just a three hour journey from Abuja, it seems we crossed seven seas to felicitate with their children on their wedding. Everything we needed was given even things we assumed were given. It was going to be a long night as we sat at the pool side of our hotel sipping some alcohol. Immanuel Kant to Herbert spencer. Karl Marx was the crowning discussion before the weather changed. We all rushed from the rain and one after the other we settled for our different rooms.  Ene came with me to my room while we hel...

EMA I needed to buy fuel as the scarcity has started building up. I knew two managers of different fuel stations but they had no fuel at the moment as they said. I drove to the CONOIL filling station in my estate to use the ATM in withdrawing some money before I start the adventure of fuel hunting. To my surprise they just started selling fuel. The queue was little. I had less than ten cars ahead of me. I rushed to the ATM to withdraw what could fill up my tank with extra money for the weekend. I opened my door to enter thus I saw a girl with a keg of 25 liters with an appeal to put it inside my car. The filling station doesn’t sell fuel to kegs that are held without a domicile vehicle. I allowed her as we both bought fuel. I drove to her car and helped her pour the fuel into the car. She was acting weird and happy. I thought it was just the fuel but something else was about to happen. She gave me her card as I exchanged mine with her. Two hours later a call came through my ...
