TURNING TO MY WIFE

With all hopes lost in Uyi and Kevin who are supposed to be the best friends I have, my mind was made up. No need to believe in friends any longer. There is even no need to have friends. Just live your life the best you can. Kill all expectations from humans, only God can be faithful.

In this past two days I’ve experienced what I never thought would become of me. But let’s wait and see, if the end really justifies the means. I started playing with my phone as if old text messages could still be funny and then I knew “snake” was an interesting game.

The shout of goal brought me back into the sitting room and I said nice goal like I was interested in their match. The hatred was boiling in me and I was scared of the next move I could make. With all maturity I stood to proceed to my house and they lethargically greeted me “later”. Then I knew I was permitted to come to Uyi’s house only to make a fool of myself. Sincerely that’s the end of friendship.

TURNING TO MY WIFE

After God made man he saw he was lonely. That same loneliness of Adam in the Garden of Eden was what started this whole season of mine. I could imagine Adam has tried to play with lion and tiger and rabbit and scorpion but they were not interested thus God made Eve and frustration set in.

Women are the strongest specie of living things. They are so complex that it’s impossible for anything living to overcome them. They are bred for both construction and destruction. They have a fragile body structure and still they are stronger than men. If you want to keep a secret tell a woman. If you want to gossip call a woman. They build homes, they destroy homes.

They take care of the husband and guide him in all things and just one act of misbehavior they turn around automatically. They have the highest powers of forgiveness and they can also hold back your sins. They are spiritual in both ways. Many in churches and mosques but they never play with their special Baba somewhere (you know). They are mothers to our children. They end up being our own mothers also.

The transformation from girlhood into motherhood is extreme. I don’t know where the powers come from. They have the powers to love whatever, even their father’s mate: no wonder Yerima is confused.

Multitasking is their specialty. They have all tolerance to make what never existed to be and their power of multiplication is extreme. Just thirty minutes of nakedness in a room with a woman brings forth a baby in nine months. Give a woman a thousand bucks and you’ll eat the best dish in the world. Give her a million bucks and you’ll eat the worst dish in the world if she so desires.
They can nurture you even in hatred. Bathe you even after cheating. Ruin your life and deny even in front of a priest. Women are the strength of life, the rock of the home, the gentle heartbeat of their children, the joy of her soul mate. They are the mystique in the society and the leader of love.

Remember that day you were in church, wearing that black suit, gathered around with groom’s men and brides maids, looking into her eyes and saying “I do” little did  you know you’ve signed a warrant you’ll never get out of.
Women are made from finished products, while men are made from raw materials. As strong as Solomon was in the bible immediately queen of Sheba came around, his “dada started plaiting”. Samson was misplaced by this same specie called women. Even military leaders have to import them from India on suicide mission. All they need is an apple. They are wonderfully and fearfully made. They own the world not men.

This specie I just described is where my wife belongs. In a short while after our marriage the transformation began and the reality started getting done on me. I needed to start answering some question like:
                 Where are you going to
Where are you and what are you doing there
Who are you talking to (on my phone )
     What were you looking at

All these questions mixed with some other reactions started changing my person. I cut off late nights, stopped having female friends, reduced the consumption of alcohol, eat all food she made with a smile. Faithfully I’ve been serving my wife and I’m proud of it. Whoever is not serving his should speak out. Generously and politely you must give, else the attitude can make you run mad. In all these I love my wife but I wish she travels more often.
With all friends not corresponding in thoughts and behaviour I'm turning to my wife and the results is what you are about to read........

My Final Turn From a Friend

It was a world of hatred, betrayal, denial and pain. To meUyi seems the best friend I ever had and if I could see him in this act, it means the world hated me. I greeted my way into the house as I sat behind the two of them. They were lying on the Arabian rug in his sitting room, playing FIFA 13. Uyi wore a black pant same with her, all she could say was hello when I even greeted them.

My first love was Awa. It was just at the end of our secondary school days that we started dating. No one asked the other out. The understanding and love was from above and everyone thought we were going to the altar. I also thought so, until fate presented a new phase of reality.  Suddenly her father became very rich.

Joined the political circle and the senatorial seat was awarded him. She was thus sent away to go school and she never enjoyed some thing we enjoyed in Nigeria. She had no experience of strike, nor was her result misplaced, nor did lecturers cancel classes, or not having water in your hostels or small ALUTA etc. she schooled in UK.

When she just got there I was her only friend. Mindful of how Nigeria girls behave, she kept lots of eyes on me. People always tell her what I do, where I was, what cloth did I wear and they probably felt I was going to forget about her but the love kept growing. A particular summer break produced the breakthrough in all of these.
Uyi was travelling to Sheffield to visit his relatives and I told him Awa was also in Sheffield. He agreed to stop by and see her which was to my favour anyway. That means new clothes and wristwatches, I needed some sneakers those periods and I bought some native attire for her through Uyi.
He was there for three weeks and his arrival back to Nigeria was greeted like I was expecting the second coming of Jesus Christ. I needed to see what my love holds back for me.

I reacted like I wasn’t bothered so I didn’t go to Uyi’s house the day he arrived. I was there the next afternoon. We hugged immediately I entered his room and I discovered three weeks in Sheffield has changed his intonation. He now sounds like Sir Alex Ferguson.
Before unpacking and giving me my things, my friend sat me down and gave me the longest gist I’ve ever heard till this moment . It was all about Awa and her new behaviours. How spoilt she is right now and the habit of smoking and drugs she has just elevated into. That she sleeps with all the rich Nigerians that come to UK.  The stories were unending. I tried holding myself back but without a strain of strength in me again, tears rolled down my eyes. The love I always had was disappearing. The world was closing up on me. I immediately knew I needed space. I stood up realizing I didn’t need the things she got for me again. I struggled home in anger and pains. I sorted out the things she got for me from the ones Uyi got for me. I swore I would never use her own things. I sat on my computer and composed a mail and sent to her and that was the end of the relationship.

Uyi was in my house the next day to confirm how I handled the matter and I told him exactly how I blasted her through my mails. I detailed the insults word for word and with a pat on my back he told me “nice one man”. That was the beginning of their relationship. My best friend is now dating my first love.
Is this right? ………..

Turning to a new friend

I have broken the chain.
I have cheated on my wife.
I feel doomed and it seems the whole world is crushing o my head. Here the devil comes again whispering into my ears “what makes you think your wife isn’t doing the same thing”

I snapped back into reality and told Naomi to get dressed. I’m leaving for a meeting pretty soon I said and thank God she didn’t hesitate. I controlled myself as I rose to my feet and the thought of my wife, coming into our house, seeing me naked with another woman came to my mind and I saw how well she cried.

The sob was quiet but I knew someone was inside the house. The knocks are not producing any results but I was positive a soul was inside. As a boyfriend you have limit regardless of mummy’s acceptance. Leaving the front door for Chidinma’s windows the cry increased and peeping I saw her crying profusely like she lost her mum. The last time I saw her cry that way was when she lost her dad due to a ghastly accident.

The man had held the family together through all forms of hard work. A very hardworking civil servant who drives all the way from Suleija to Garki every morning to make sure food was never lacked in the house. A particular 14th of February was the first time I saw her cry; the men of the road safety had escorted themselves into their house to convey the message of the death of the father to their mum.

He had an accident on his way home after buying gifts for the whole family. Chidinma was eighteen years old then and our relationship was about taking shape. I consoled from all angles like I really lost a father in-law. Family and friends trooped in the sign the condolence register and those three weeks were part of what gave me the right to be her husband. My dedications are always extreme when I’m jobless; then it was ASUU strike.
Same mood of the father’s death was what I was seeing this day through her window. She stood up to open the door and I asked her what the problem was. She said she was just thinking of the fact that she is going to leave her family and stay with me forever. Baby its two weeks to our wedding and you are still thinking. She told me there are lots of things she was just imagining

And I asked her like what. She said like me sleeping with another girl on our matrimonial bed.  Like me beating her up etc. Same thing that made my wife cry shortly before our wedding was what I just did. This time I knew Kevin, Naomi and Diana are not my friends.

She’s in the bathroom having her bath, singing “come and see the Lord is good” after profusely sleeping with another woman’s husband. I opened the bathroom door and what I saw was about tempting me again, but I got pissed when I discovered she was wearing my wife’s shower cap. I wanted to explode but I just kept my shut.

In a few minutes we were all leaving the house and I demanded they should drop me at Uyi’s house. I feel Uyi should be a better friend. He is focused and more reserved. He had a relationship for twelve years (that’s stupid anyway) but he is straight and he doesn't cheat if not called for.

Musa was given the contract of cleaning up my house. He is a trusted security man from Niger republic. Hard work is his calling. Musa will fall sick if he doesn't work.  Twenty five minutes we were in Uyi’s house and off they went after dropping me. We waved like I was travelling out and a sigh of relief on my face believing I have escaped this evil of enemies clothed in friend’s coat. The security opened the gate and told me “oga de upstairs “slowly I climbed the stairs and forgetting to knock, I just opened the door to see one of the greatest scenes in the world……….. It was a world of

still turning to my neighbors

I had to follow suit like it was a normal thing. Diana told me she got me food and drinks, told me how intoxicated I was yesterday night. My snore was enormous she said and that if not for her, I would have gotten things out of hand. It was only one thing I was waiting for, what happened to my trouser? I saw some whitish things on my boxers and felt I could have acted as a real man yesterday.
The thoughts kept roaming as much as I was listening to the beautiful voice and concentrating on the wonderful laps.

Is it good or bad?
Is it cheating?
I know others do it but some think it is wrong ...

With her the reality of wrong was about to be vanished from my thought. But I don’t even know what really happened and I can’t ask. So the best I can do is confirmed if it really happened. I proceeded towards her, dragging myself from my bed to the couch in my room, where she was sitting and the picture of my wife with her beautiful smile exploded in my face with the frame in our room. Guilt was about to set in but I overcame and close to her I was until I discovered we had company.

I heard a voice from the other room in my two bedrooms flat and this time I was forced to ask her if Kevin slept in my house and in all surprise she answered yes with an embarrassing laugh.

Then she asked me if I knew I had sex when I got back home and started describing how awesome it was.  Politely I stood up to confront my friend.  With the last energy in my body I approached the room and opened the door to surprisingly see two naked figures on the bed cling to themselves in a mood of forever. They both opened their eyes and felt the shame of a third party. I was stunned by the curve in Naomi’s body and the freshness of the skin. I tried not to look for long and a tone of apology arose in me like I didn’t feel like changing positions with Kevin
.
Gradually she was dragging the bed cover to seal up my views but the breast rejected that offer.  Diana was behind me this time and held me with the baby tone again. Stop disturbing these love birds and immediately I felt the moralities that lie in Naomi disappear. I turned locking the door and concentrated on what was before me.

My hands grabbed her and slowly I dragged her close to myself and settled to kiss those gracious lips of hers. With a corresponding response all the other parts of my body started responding to the act. My hands moved under the shirt and loneliness disappeared. We fell on the floor in the sitting room and the acts began. My mouth moved and I acted like a baby again following the instinct of sucking but this time something was hard in me. I respected her a little by putting all effort to carry her into the room.

Pulling down my boxers took two second and removing her knickers was faster. Protection was out of the play and slowly I trudged my hard substance into her wet abode. Rest was restored to me as I was thrusting in and out. The next thirty minutes were the minutes I justified as the sweetest in my life until three months after. Lying tired on my bed with satisfaction I stretched to get the soda she bought for me. I needed to regain energy I guess, after some gulps I passed it to her and we looked into our eyes and she told me “baby you are just too sweet”.

Turning to my neighbour contd

Her pitch has always been on the high side and she is obviously a blessing to the choir.  Almost all psalms were chanted by her and gifts flow in every Sunday like father and mother Christmas dwelt in our church. At a time she was the envy of all young girls who made it to church and sit next to their parents.
The glamour was now more with the beauty she beheld. She was really an evidence heaven would be fun because of the caliber of voices we would hear. Her parents were great people following the normal strength of daddies being engineer and mummy not being anything but a nurse. The generation before us created an avenue for mothers to be at home to take proper care of the children.
Naomi was that classic example of beauty brewed from morality and home training. Her personality spurns beyond the normal thought of pollution that could be as a result of bad friends but ……. She was a great blood of innocence compared to the spoilt tribe of ladies we experience nowadays. Every parents dream was their child to marry her. She had good grades from nursery through primary and secondary. With a scholarship she got through university still graduating amongst the top ten in her level.
Psychology posses to be a difficult course but to her it was like a hobby. With all these values around her, she had a different calling. She’s always with the bad crew of girls. She knows how to manage them as if bad company does not really spoil a good heart.
She kept to a man (unlike her friends) who is also my friend and we are waiting on the Lord for the right time for both to say I do. She would never give room for another man to come close to her. Conclusively her decency beats our imagination.
With NYSC over, she is now big enough to go clubbing thus she was part of our crew. She drank a little compared to her friends. Moving her body vehemently you’ll know she’s not used to this life. The frustrating smell of cigarettes was about to spoil her night but dramatically she passed through. The freedom wasn’t her life. Her exposure was limited and I think she was doing this for Kevin.
Kevin feels Naomi isn’t socially active enough. For the fact they both grew up in the same estate he wouldn’t complain much. My conviction to leave a world of loneliness and meditation into alcoholism was a little hard, Naomi’s case was easier.

They earlier had a quarrel which she didn’t want to spring again. Just a call gave the pass. She was coming but not alone. She had some friends at home with her whom we are not familiar with. Marriage kills your sense of irresponsibility most time.

When I heard there were two other girls I wasn’t interested until I remembered my wife had travelled. With a smile on my face I knew the night would be wild. Two guys and three girls: what a wonderful combination. Kevin has to stick to his girl friend which means I was the only free person to flirt.

Physically I’m not the most attractive (not ugly), but mentally I can beat my chest to the game. Impressively I dressed for the party night. Kept some money in my pocket and held my ATM card to avoid stories that touch. The drive to her house was without hassles. Following the normal procedures of waiting for a woman to come out, that was five minutes and to my greatest surprise I saw an angel walk behind Naomi. Then I knew my life was about to take a turn………. That was the same reality that walked into my house wearing my Nike shirt and called me BABY and there the problem started.

Turning to my neighbors (contd tomorrow)
